"Travellers" is the first word that comes to mind on viewing this image.

And look at that one, popping up in the distance!  He makes me smile.

I think the previous one of your defocused light-spots photos has been more spontaneous. This one feels more like an afterthought and an exploitation of a proven seller. Nevertheless,  the composition is delightful and my imagination is still tickled. Any more than those two and I think I would be bored... It's just the kind of imagery that does not help my attention span to be kept for too long.

Don't take me wrong - I like this image - perhaps even more than the previous one. I just think that it works best on its own and not as part of a series of similar compositions.

Do you look at or through a photo?

It's a crop of ethanol bubbling ripely and ready to be harvested. They grow ethanol here in Lancaster County Roland and of course, at night, the fields are aglow with their bubbles in the Fall. Odd, during the day the crop looks a lot more like corn.Grin Grin Grin

As usual... you have found magic.

Happy Christmas, Merry New Year.

Thanks much. Right, eob, you spotted the main difference, I think. The first one was born out of sheer fascination without much thought about the eventual fame the photograph might bring me (Wink), this one here has much more thinking brought into the play... I thought I want to use perspective, add depth, get that "looking over a crowd that holds up lights/candles on a concert" feeling. Hence, it was born out of conceptual thinking. I think, that's not bad, but different, less spontaneous and this translates into the shot...

cheers

It's interesting to view the two side-by-side. My response is that...

The first is very free and exuberant; it makes me feel playful.

The second is more thoughtful, and encourages me to wonder what is in the artist's mind.
