I like the graphic treatment (high contrast, white background). The scene looks just a little bit off balance to me, though. I wouldn't place the group of geese dead-center, but I would probably push it very slightly up - between current position and dead-center.

I also enjoy the treatment, especially as it includes a hint of warmth.
Another thought that occurred to me, given the merger and the title, was to move the group up toward top right in the frame -- as if they're all jammed up in that corner.
It breaks the "rule" of leading space, but perhaps effective?

To me, the scene is too dense, but that doesn't put me off hard enough to not enjoy the scene. It feels very transient, kind of insignificant because the shot shows there have been thousands of wing flaps before and as many will come after. So, the frame itself is insignificant, but it stands for all those wing flaps and this is what I like. This is probably also why I feel there is no more space required in this shot.
