Ok time for some darkness. Click the image for the larger on black photograph.
I have had comments that the image is too dark. It is fine on my monitors. It is supposed to be very very dark with just a hint of light, enough to give you a view of tree layers of tree lines. The bottom should only be just barely visible where the smoke is. The middle should give you the ability to see a defined tree line (though not right across the image) and the top should give you enough light to see a clear tree line with some twilight light. It should look (to me anyway) as if your eyes have adjusted to the darkness and you can begin to make out shapes but not really see them the more you get to the bottom of the image.

Well, I should be already used to your style (darkness, I mean). I see the tonality of this photo on my monitor exactly the way you say I should. Nevertheless, I do feel that the image is excessively dark and therefore hardly readable and defying any kind of interpretation beyond the fact that it is... dark. Wink . I understand that that was your intention and yet I can not give you more useful comment. Sorry.
