This is so beautifully balanced. The palette, the shapes, the forms, and the emotional clout is equally .... balanced. It's a wonderful feeling, well communicated

Reminds me of portraits of Lev Tolstoi...
I agree with Ted. It is balanced - and yet - that left boot kicking the air - that adds some quiet dynamic to the pose.
So, this is
not
dark and moody?

Thanks for the comments guys. Well I guess its less dark and moody than I usually shoot. Still moody though, don't think I will ever shoot something which isn't moody.
