Not exactly ground-breaking, but I like this photograph.  Smiley

Nice reflections. I got one suggestion on how to make it look a bit less organic and more abstract, that you may want to try.

I would chop off 1/3 from the top (no part of the blue area left) and use only a square selection chosen from the remaining 2/3s. You could also play with radically increased contrast in Theo's style. Perhaps the result won't be groundbreaking either, but I think it will retain viewers attention and stimulate imagination. What do you think?

Thank you for your suggestions, eob. I like the approach, as less literal and less decorative. But...I wonder if there's enough of a payoff for the viewer?

That's most likely a personal preference, but I do like this version a bit better.

There's a lot going on in this picture, that's for sure. However, all those small details form sort of a pattern and they all relate to each other very closely, so the business of the image is not much of a problem in this particular case, I think. I wish the image was less noisy, so that the transitions would look smoother.

It's just my imagination, but I see something like an inverted female nude in many of those small details.  Wink

I can't say that I see the nudes, and wish I could, but if I look on a macro level I can see a whole lot of ghoulish creatures tightly packed together.

Ah. That can be remedied to some degree. The lens is noisy at that focal length, but I also pushed sharpening on edges to emphasize the rectangular containers. Easy enough to back off on.

Thanks again for your feedback.

Do you look at or through a photo?

I'm seeing this as a texture screen to be layered atop a stunning city skyline. The neon-like forms mimic in my mind the shapes of a throbbing night-time metropolis. Odd how abstracts act as Rorschach blots. Which brings me to EOB's nudes. Hmmmmmm..... nope, can't see them either. Darn Smiley Smiley
