Sebastiao Salgado

His photo-journalistic work started in 1973 and is totally dedicated to the human condition - especially in regard to the poor of this world. His Brazilian roots do not limit him to themes linked exclusively with Latin America.

Several of his printed albums are worth recommendations, but the one I like probably most of all is his
Workers: An Archaeology of the Industrial Age published in cooperation by Eastman Kodak Company and Aperture, ISBN: 0-89381-525-X. Price: $ 63 (at Amazon.com).
