Welcome to PHOTOSAPIEN
The photography forum where craft meets art.

Overview
Photosapien is open to all photographers with at least basic skills in mastering a camera. The forum and community is here to discuss photographs regarding composition, technical execution as well as communication and artistic aspects. This is a place for professionals and novices to gather and offer opinions on technique and artistic ability, a place to develop and refine the skills in the broad field of photography and photo art.

Photosapien is NOT a place where there dominates a certain school of photography, but rather all artistic expressions, ranging from pure technical tabletop setups or architecture shots up to very experimental work that is on the border of being a photograph is welcomed.

Acceptance
Anyone who wants to develop his knowledge and skills in photography is welcome, as long as they are open to share their time, work, thoughts and opinions. All PHOTOSAPIEN members are required to be tolerant, open minded and helpful to fellow photographers, regardless of race, religion, politics, gender, list of accomplishments, camera manufacturer, photography style etc. Constructive criticism is a must, and we expect all members to be willing and wanting to expose their own mindset to new ideas, to old concepts, to experimental artwork as well as classic portrait work - and to learn from that exposure.

Participation
Everyone that joins Photosapien will be required to participate in offering advice, showing work, helping others, and teaching people how to better themselves in a manner that will help each other excel. Also each member will be required to keep this a place that all walks of photographers will enjoy, and find beneficial to increasing their photography skill set. Photosapien is not a place to just pop your snapshots and wait for someone to write "cool shot, dude". We expect that you write at least as many critiques as you post photos, and we expect you to understand that this is part of the path to better your photography skills.
