...i'll be absent for a while as i have broken my thumb, which makes typing a nuisance and photography nigh on impossible for the coming 6 weeks

Ah, ilchkai - the wonderful thing about evolution is that it builds in redundancy giving you two thumbs. The tragic thing about technology is that it fully exploits that redundancy... well not completely. While you may not be able to handle certain equipment, you still have a digit on the other hand to allow you to thumb your nose at whoever deserves it.

Happy New Year all. May it be greater than 2007, but less than 2009.
