After uploading this photo to the server, I thought B&W version would work just as good. What do you think?

I like the lines that suggest movement and that lead my eye directly to the bird. B/W should work, I think. And if you're at it, adjust the levels... when sticking to a straw, stay ready to lift off when the wind gets to strong... I feel I can learn from the little buddy there...
cheers

For everyone: please, read comments to "Aerials 3", since all three Aerials are meant to be parts of one series (more like a triptych).

I tried pure b&w version, but I did not particularly like it. This monochromatic treatment seems to me to be more interesting:

Whoah. Now this is something completely different. The way you placed the brightest area is perfect for my liking. Now, the whole scene is so much simplified that I finally can go straight to the elements that make it up. Love that! Still would consider cropping or cloning away the blurred parts at the bottom.

Thanks, Roland. I will leave the blurred plants alone. Sometimes, the presence of less-than-perfect (but not too distracting) elements in the image make it more organic, natural, believable...

Oh, I like that version! The muted warmth seems perfect for the reeds, the bird, the orange patch on its wing, and the light with a subtle area of brightness.
Now I'm in the meadow and espy the bird...maybe at sunrise, or sunset, or maybe on a misty day.

Thank you both. I thought you'd like this version better. I do too.
