i keep on coming back to this.

and in total disregard of Roland's critiquing guidelines i have just got to say: i like it!

(well a little bit of critique: nice warm colours but i think that the definition in the sky has suffered a bit, on the other hand - the lower part of the image appears too dark)

for some strange reason i have to think of narnia seeing this... don't know why

As we are in the exploration phase of the forum and the guidelines... the only thing that the first sentence of your feedback is lacking is: why do you like it?

Anyway... I for my part don't like the shot, but I'm fascinated a good deal! The trees look so outlandish, the color is so strange. It could be from a scene of a distant planet... or it could be part of a microscope picture.

One thing that really bothers me is the imbalance of the dark area and the burnt sky. I tried and cropped it at the top, so the bright part is approx. as broad as the lower, dark part. That makes it more balanced imo.

i should have put the winking smilie behind my comment... but i really dislike smilies   Roll Eyes  (i do think the critiquing guidelines are a useful thing and should be read!) Wink
