I like the composition. There's a lot of elements and details, but they work together quite well. Although the image seems to be heavily processed, in this particular case it doesn't bother me, because the manipulation supports content and adds a specific climate. Tough but sophisticated, dark but colorful. The image is descriptive and yet symbolic, realistic and surreal. Very nice.

Old and new/then and now?

I definitely prefer the old, with its wonderfully lush texture and color. Though the "new" looks so shiny clean, it just doesn't yet have much depth.

I also enjoy how you didn't give us a written hook to your story, so I had to look closely to discover one of my own. Time enjoyably spent. Smiley

Ted, this is another shot that instantly beams me into a story in the quality of Wil Eisner's "City people notebook" or "New York - life in the big city".

I know I can't understand the character or the scene, unless I follow it around for a good while, and then I'll get to know his history, his fears and hopes... and if I stick with the story, I will understand something about his destiny... It's one shot that I don't understand. But it's that fact alone that makes me want to see more, stay with him, read on.

cheers
