'k! I'm walking through the weeds right now, wearing my shades ('cuz the light is so bright), carrying the cooler and looking forward to some interesting conversation at the end of the day.[1] Or...maybe we'll just turn our chairs around to the water, and sit quiet.

I like the soft foreground in this image, because I can almost feel/hear the weeds brushing as I pass through. And definitely enjoy the suggestion of a couple -- friends, husband and wife? -- sitting companionably here, discussing the day. But the surroundings are harsh, so I imagine a hard life/the end of a hard day's work.

And can't help but see this as a companion piece for "Road to?".

[1]  I see from the metadata it's a morning shot, but the image makes me think of late afternoon or early evening.

Hmmm. The foreground is so harsh and dominant that I don't feel invited at all. In fact, the foreground rather has a effect like a barber fence, telling me to keep out. So, together with the title, the whole scene turns into sarcasm. Like someone is telling me: right, if you manage to get here, you may sit down. Knowing I have no chance to penetrate that defense belt. The colors sure support this sarcastic undertone.

cheers

The general mood of this piece, in my view, is rather scary. It brings a post-nuclear scenery to my mind...  Tongue
