This photo isn't doing much for me. The colors are nice, they have nice contrast with each other, but thats about it.  To me, I don't see the Planet aspect of it (but i don understand what you where talking about), but see just crackling paint. It would make a nice cd cover to some alternitive rock band  Grin

Thanks. Well, as with all abstract pictures, you either use your fantasy, or you just see what it once was. Yes, it is crackled paint. The Planet Zork thing comes from my fantasy... ever read Calvin and Hobbes? You should understand then. Smiley If not, just imagine this is a fly by over the planet Zork and this is a shot showing algae carpets on the sea there...

I think I have to agree with Silas. This image makes a lot of sense in the context of your other abstract works, but as a standalone work - not so much. And I also love the color palette...

Thank, eob.

What I love in such abstract shots is the HUGE difference in replies I get when I post them to various communities. I learn equally much about the communities as I do about my photos. Cheesy

What is interesting is how you can read into more about the person critiqueing it than anything else...

Me... Look at my photos, they are all more clasic oriented...  Posed people, bird shots, mnt ranges, and so on...  I see the world as it is most of the time...

You Roland, see the world, see its wonders, and then transform it to something equally amazing. Seeing a bit further into everyday that most others don't take the time to see...

Well, I think I see the world as it is, but I don't believe the explanation/interpretation my mind comes up in first place. That keeps the world more wondrous - and more fun.
Cheesy
