image 1 Today i had the opportunity to work with fantastic model. She is phenomenally photogenic. That was my first real studio shooting. This is first photo from this shooting. I will be posting here more. Just please leave some opinions on each photo, it will help me a lot. Thanks! I shot with Canon 1D mkIII + EF 24-70mm f/2.8L + 2 flashlights with bulb lights & 1 with white fluorescent light (on this photo flashlights not fired, it's just constant light from the bulb) and a gold blenda. Cheers!

Nice job really enjoyed this image. I can't get over her eyes you really captured them. About the only thing i can see for improvement are the fly away hairs in the top right of the frame. look forward to future pictures in this set.

image 3 (flashlights fired) This will be all for today, next shots tomorrow probably. I did just too much photos (400?), she is too cute and something like 4 photos on 5 i like too much, hard to choose best ones

All these photos are typical studio shots. I understand limitations and conventions that you are subjected to in a situation like this one and keeping that in mind, I think you are almost there, Ernie. I prefer the first shot, because it seems to be more intimate and the pose is more natural. I would just add a touch more light on the right side of her face (perhaps using just a reflector). The third shot is the least appealing to me because of bad perspective. In this kind of a full-figure glamour portraiture, shooting from your eye-level is unflattering for a girl, because it shortens her legs and makes her head look too big. Shoot either from her waist-level or even from below that. Or increase the distance and/or focal length. So, are you going to make her your "regular" model?

Thanks for very interesting comment. There are much much more different shots so it will be couple different to show you soon. Different angles, poses, light-intensity, etcetera... Yup we planned some more shootings in future.

First reaction on first photo: "Oh, nice!" It is also my favorite of the three, perhaps because there's a touch of impishness which draws me in to wonder what she might be like to know.
The second is lovely to me for the gesture/line and subtle harmonies of warm, rich color, though it strikes me as a little more self-conscious.
The third does put me off, but then it's a curious mixture of a somewhat confrontational stance and protective pose. The perspective distortions here are interesting -- big hands, big head. Though I can't say it's flattering, this perspective in other poses might be fun to play with as a way of making a particular statement...
It looks like you're going to have a very fun (working) relationship!

perhaps because there's a touch of impishness which draws me in to wonder what she might be like to know Interesting perception General conception of this session was to make delicate but a little bit "spicy" poses & gestures. Warm colors fit in excellent i think here. We had a lot of fun when making this session, i hope soon we repeat, but with a little different conceptions Thank you! Cheers

Too bad that there's winter in Poland. I would like to see your pictures of her outdoors - in natural lighting. That's because I don't care much for any kind of artificial lighting, even when used with a great deal of skill . That, and as I said above, there's too many restrictions in a studio situation. Perhaps winter won't prevent the two of you from photo-sessions outdoors? Again, in this second set of 3 shots, I prefer the intimacy, simplicity and natural pose of the first photo of the three.

Robert - we planned some shooting in around May, when the weather will be warmer. But it will not be normal outdoor session, we planned to make it inside the abandoned brick factory (a lot of dust, ugly scenery & beautiful model - what you think about this concept? ) Before that we will make some shooting after Christmas also (studio), but first i need to show you couple more shots from this session. Theo, yup next time i will definetelly take notice on such details - that was my first studio shooting, so sorry about that. Thanks for kind words Cheers!

But remember that execution is as important as concept... Surely, we would like to see results.

I really like the pose and the composition with the exception of the neck tie and the skin color difference of the face and the body. It almost looks as if you photoshoped the head on.
