And who's going to be the one
To say it was no good what we done ?
I dare a man to say I'm too young,
For I'm going to try for the sun.

And I am going to try for a fruit (orange, maybe)... Smiley No, no, I know this is not an orange. Just teasing...

Sorry, can't say much more than that. Tongue

The quality of the capture and the detail rendered is very good. As it being the sun no the color is too orange for that not enough yellow but is believable as another orb that graces the heavens yes. I like the square crop also.

Who said "the sun of our solar system"?
Smiley

And no, Sir. Have a look at the many solar photographs out there. The color would be even darker red for most shots.

Do you look at or through a photo?

You do so much with so little. Art without imagination is just craft.

Like that line? It's my new breakthrough thought  Grin But... but... this image makes that tiny thought resonate. Thanks Roland.

Funny you mention "imagination"... this was one of those shots that really got grat AND harshly bad critiques... Those who felt free to use their imagination most often loved the shot, the rest felt cheated and saw nothing of any value in this scene.
I still try to get back to the freedom I had when I was a child and not everything had to be "right" or "useful"... fun and joy was reasons enough. Smiley

I've looked at this image a number of times, and it is so close... I think I finally identified what works better, for me. And that is to flip it vertically. I know on "earth" we're most comfortable with light to dark from sky to ground. But with the sun above, shining down, I'm easier with dark to light! Flipping in Photoshop, now I see the sun/star without question.

Ah; also a recurring theme in my journal: to see again with the eyes of a child.

That resonates, big time, and is going in my journal -- as a reminder of what I'm seeking/trying to balance with technical skill.
