Most strikingly, there is that sleeping face on the right side. Together with the overall cold atmosphere, this almost beams me into a end scene of a movie, where the barn has lost the struggle and lied down in the winter, closing the eyes for a never ending sleep. The snow has already begun to cover the whole scene, another sign of "the end of the story".
Compositionally, I think the three points (eyes and nose) are the strongest aspects here. We are so bound to anthropomorphize... Another strong aspect are the multitiude of stacked lines. They form rhythms and the decent colors make the rhythms easier to see.
However, the relation of the line groups doesn't please me as much as I would ant them to.

So many angles, so few balances. Having the house cut on it's "back" isn't helping either and seeing the trees on the right side being cut too, I wish for a wider framing.
Still - once I saw the face, I had a much more favorable feeling towards the shot than I had at first glimps. Some shots need time to touch you...

cheers
