I like this shot. It reminds me of some detail of a porcelain figurine. Very nice balance of lights and shadows, color and lack of it, centric and excentric.

Love the color and the lines of this shot they take you in and spin you around the main subject. I can't get over how much it reminds me of a woman very sensual captivating and yet cold and warm at the same time (just like most woman lol). Very nicely done but then that is what i have comet to expect of your work! Thank you for sharing it!

Thank you for your comments, eob and Theo.

My husband looked at this shot and said "there's something almost menacing about it." I would say "predatory" -- and was divided about which direction to take in processing. The image of a Madonna won out for this version, but I'm still tempted to try a variation which leans more toward a spider quietly waiting to draw the victim and then pounce.

More likely, it's just on to the next image. Smiley

I have to confess, I struggled too between something ethereal and something menacing. The latter won on my side... There is something about this faceless prince or magician with the purple cape... looks like he (or she) is working on a devastating spell in the middle of the not less magic surrounding. Once I let go of that concept, I realize this is one of those shots that almost transports the smell of the subject matter to me. This, I like really good.

cheers

Spell casting; that's it! Smiley

But I've made note to try another variation which is lighter in feel, and moves more toward the fragrance. I'm not entirely convinced an  anthropomorphic treatment is the best approach.

Thank you, again, for your creative insights.

But he is a pirate with one eye patched.
Hear? Hear him cackling, "Har.. Har.. Harrrrrrr!"
See him swagger and flick his blood red uniform about?
And as he peg legs about, his
hunch, eye-patched, bumping menace
Scares the be-jing... from everyone
Within bloodshot of his...
"Har.. Har.. Harrrrrrr!"
