Kilauea - the earth cracked up and the heat was overwhelming. The intensity when the earth is born is beyond imagination.

(click>zoom... highly recommended as size matters with this kind of texture details...)

Knowing Roland's past photographs, I bet it is a part of some heavy construction machinery... Or some such... I admire his ability to distill everyday objects into a dramatic and abstract art.

Yes, the richness of color and texture and the wavy flow of lines make this a very decorative image. And, knowing Roland's past photographs, I bet there is also an intense feeling behind it. Am I not right?

Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, eob, the intensity of the outburst has indeed a deeper meaning to me. And there's the next "traces" shot (#73) that comes right behind...

cheers
