I do see two very different aspects in this shot. The first one I encounter is the steps on the left side that seem to burst, explode, towards me and this makes me instinctively lean back a bit. fixed the eyes on that portion, the space just right of it becomes background, either gravel or snow. So empty, so desaturated - it can't be of any importance. Then I wonder about the composition...
But after a moment it clicks... hey! Isn't that "negative" space the surface of a slide? And from that very moment, my eyes start to run up the stairs, turn around and - wheeeeee - slide down!
What fun and how dynamic this shot is!

cheers

How interesting! In processing I did want to sequence "running up" and "sliding down", but I'd not seen the slide viewed as background until you point it out -- and now I do. What a difference a fresh pair of eyes makes.  Smiley

In the end you describe exactly what I hoped to convey, and for that I'm very glad! Thank you for your comments.
