I do feel like the second is a weaker version of the first, which I like very much.

It would help to see larger, to better evaluate if that could stand on its own.

To me, they don't really work well as a pair. Too similar and sort of disconnected anyway. Strange, isn't it? But... I like the first one really good. The energy in the curves is just great! But... after a short time of playing with them in my thoughts, I put them together vertically, the right one on coming below the left one and then I feel they work together MUCH better.

I agree with you Roland i think they work better in the vertical also. thank you all for your comments.
