From the compositional point of view, I do not see a lot to complain about, but from the technical one - I do.
My main complaint is about the point of focus. The palace and the statue should be in better focus. Also, the local contrast in both the palace and the statue is so poor that you can hardly discern details. Improving contrast would help to perceive the architecture as being sharper than it really is in this photo.

Click right-mouse on the image and choose "show image" so it will appear fullsize and the sharpness is great then, fhis forum script is downsizing images to some resolution (i think 800px long) and also making downsized pictures a little bit blurred. Thanks for the advice concerning contrasts, you have right i think, i see it now

Viewing large, I think I see the intent of this image: "Stop, you can't go there!" -- even though the road leads that way. There's also a suggestion of "no exit" in the returning traffic...
