I just bought me a Jeep and had some work done to it... went to a national forrest with trails and took some action shots of the Jeep in action Smiley

Feel free to comment on my photography skills and the lack there of  Grin

I have more photos of the trip at www.JeepJourneys.com  Smiley

OK... the pano itself transmits a nice, calm atmosphere, if that blody car wouldn't stand there! Cheesy Seriously, I smell a wood fire, hear the winds going through the trees, and I am sure I would have packed my trusty old Lowden guitar in the back of the jeep.

For my liking the pano could be cropped on the left side so it leaves only half the space left of the tree that stands next to the water. In fact, I would probably like it even better to have all the wood cropped on the left side, so I get the feeling of looking into the wide open waters...

Then, I would like to see a better straightened water level, and probably a less blown out dull sky. And while we're at it, there is a stitching glitch on the forest slope in the middle of the shot, and on the ground next to the water, I can see two repeating structures, which make it "easy" to spot the stitch area.

cheers

A nice shot with and without the jeep, the stitching errors are a pity but not too noticeble you could probably patch up the forest and the other one is not too noticeable. What about photoshoping in some blue sky ? should be quite easy as it ia all blown out anyway. perhaps a HDR technique would have worked well here.

Really like the shot makes a nice header! I too would crop in a little from the left that area almost is starting a new interest point and competes with the jeep. I don't have problems with blown out skies but i hate the blue fringe it leaves on the trees both of the sides. maybe composite some nice thunder heads in there remember the reflection though. i really don't see the glitches that habakuk is talking about what software do you use to stitch? ok one more thing did you try the jeep journeys.com in the upper left corner the 'eys' in journeys gets a little lost for me.

over all i do like the picture and i am very jellouse of the jeep oh well maybe someday lol

went to the site btw like the logo (did you do it?) but your not using the picture?Huh

anyhow nice post keep it up you should with that jeep!

Some seriously astute eyes for technical issues here! I thought I was being anal with my images, but just learned something more to look for re fringing in "blown-out" skies, and had to hunt to catch the repeating areas/stitching glitch on the ground.

Thanks, Theo, for pointing up a post I'd not yet seen.
