There is an awful lot of information to try to organize here, and I can appreciate where (I think) you're going with the three zones.
But...I'm not sure it's successful. The bright areas in the bokeh upper right -- even though they are leaf shaped -- draw my eye quite a bit, so I can't fully enjoy the underlying circular forms that contrast/echo the main wave.
Then I notice the hard edges on twigs left, and think "solarized." A viewer who is not a photographer might not apply that term, but they might feel there's something artificial about the image.
Then again, the first syllable of that word is "art"...

In general, there's something very stark and gothic in this murky image. For some reason, I am reminded of Albrecht Dürer (very loosely). That mood/perception draws my attention to the details and then, like April, I notice those solarized edges - and I realize that that's what helps to make this stark mood.
OTOH, the light spots in the background definitely work against a cohesive composition. I would try to clone them out with some more subdued tones that you have plenty of in this image.
