Even though I really like to use a square format myself, in this case, I would crop off all the bottom part up to the point where the "crest of the wave" meets the edge of the frame (on the right side), leaving only a hint of watery reflections in the left lower corner. That way, my attention would be brought immediately to the sharp leaf without being scattered about. Perhaps, I would also crop off a bit from the top - just enough to get rid of that light oval-shaped reflection in the center...

What most captivates me about this image are the inky depths -- so heavily liquid -- and that one leaf improbably suspended.
Though I love the sparkles on the upper leaf, and can appreciate the contrasting flow, I'm tempted to do some serious editing and eliminate entirely.

I am with April here. The tactile quality is stunning. Stark contrast. However, I would most probably also try to crop differently. Not sure where I'd end up... but a it's worth a try.
