What mood does this transport to you (and why, what associations come up)?

I like the minimalism in composition and plenty of neutral space of this landscape. That leads me to feel its solitude, silence and tranquility.

The same here. Also it looks like some painting for me.

I am going the opisite as the others... In an area of the world where snow is rare.... This shot brings out the inner child... wanting to play and mess up the perfect snow... I see distance, and a journey packed full of childish thoughts, stories, and giggles...  and an occasional snow ball thrown at my friend...   Grin

Loneliness, but in a good way. The sweetness of being alone is something we all do not get enough of in our fast paced world.

Silence, no horns, no talking, no noise....but the crunch of snow under my boots and my own breathing.

I also get a feeling of loneliness.

I love the image though.  The negative space in the sky really works.

Is there more than one of the big tree in the middle?  Half of it looks solid and the other half is faded and in the middle it looks like it overlaps.  Or is there just a leafless tree in front of the full tree?  Either way its still a great image.

Looks like the latter... an evergreen tree in behind a leafless tree... that was the first thing i saw... and thoght it was kind of cool... like the spirt of the tree was out of body   Smiley

Thanks for your feedback, guys. Yes these are two trees, a leaveless in front of an evergreen one.

The snow is my favorite kind of weather. I love the snow, even more then 75 degree sunny days by the beach.

I feel silence, wonder, reverence and power.
